Short Story

Yes, I know a bus journey doesn't sound very exciting, and even I think it doesn't sound appealing to me, however this was the most thrilling bus ride I have ever experienced.

Imagine being excited for 8 months solid about a holiday, being with all your best friends and thinking about drink, chaos and partys. Well.. that was what was on our minds on the way to NEWQUAY!

We couldn't all believe this time had come as we had waited so long, we could hardly contain ourselves. The music was on exceptionally loud, we were already pre-drinking, and we were shouting with excitement. Our suitcases were loaded in the boot of the bus (mine was basically man-sized which created a huge problem), and we were all planning our week in the biggest teenage party place of England.

Yes, I know a bus journey doesn't sound very exciting, but can you see why I loved this one?-

The Balloon Festival: an exciting event for everyone. Anyone of any age can enjoy this fantastic event because there is so much for people to do. The whole of Ashton Court is taken up by many marvellous stalls, rides and activites. Whether you enjoy relaxing on the sea of grass surrounding the building, or adventuring around, this festival is brilliant for anything.

Once a year, this event takes place for a few days. This year it started on the Friday which was a delightful day to open the festival as the sun was beaming which meant flocks of people came. It was open until late so people were able to appreciate the great atmosphere and acres of land.

For many years, people have enjoyed going to this enjoyable festival. However, many people who are living in Bristol still haven't been to The Balloon Fiesta: It is free entry; the rides and foods are extremely low price; it is easily accessible; and lots of transport is provided. There is no reason not to go!
